I am sorry to say that I will be taking a break from Hope’s Bag for the unforeseeable future. My dear Dad passed away on January 24th and I will be helping my Mom clean out and sell their house and get her settled in a new apartment.
Think 50 years in the same place – need I say more?
Although not an easy decision to make, the research that goes into each item is very time consuming as does all the trade shows I scour to find these terrific products. And for now, this is time I no longer have to give to this venture.
I thank all the thousands of loyal readers who have taken the time to make Hope’s Bag part of their day. It has been a blast!
I may well come back to it one day but for now, Hope’s Bag will cease to publish new content. Please continue to link to it though as it still remains a valuable resource with over 600 great products. And keep the feeds in your feed readers as you never know what might happen.
To all you retail store owners, I have left up all the Product Reports under the Store Owners Section should you need to source items I have talked about.
Warmest regards to you all!
Hope

If you have ever traveled with your pet in the family car you know that it can be a daunting experience. While many dogs are happy to stay put calmly in the back seat, others bounce around wrecking havoc on both the passengers and designated driver. Car rides can become a nightmare!
The Laurel Canyon Animal Company and Dr. Kim Ogden, a nationally known Intuitive Animal Communicator, worked together to create music dogs love to listen to! “Songs to Make Dogs Happy!” is the first researched musical CD, based upon 200 canine participants’ responses to what THEY would like to hear in songs! Perfect for traveling with your four legged friend!

Owning a dog in the Northern States or up in snowy Canada can be a challenge in the cold winter months. Coming in from a leisurely winter walk can lead to a wrestling match as you try to remove the accumulated snow and ice from your pet’s undercoat and paws.
Paw Pro is non-toxic, all natural and designed to be used to repel this ice, salt and snow buildup. It also prevents snowballs from accumulating on your pet’s underbelly. Simply spray it on your dog’s paws and between the pads on the feet, paws and fur before venturing out on the winter jaunt!
It is so safe, that your pet can lick his paws right after an application and Paw Pro washes off easily with soap and water.

If you knit for fun and pleasure, you know how hard it can be to find local organic and natural wools or yarn. All-natural fibers and materials can make an incredible difference, both in your knitting and in the health of our planet.
Thank goodness for The Green Mountain Spinnery. This green company helps to sustain regional sheep farming, and to develop environmentally sound ways to process natural fibers. All their yarns are created in their mill in rural Vermont with vintage equipment.
So what are you waiting for? Dig out those knitting needles and start a scarf… or mittens or if you are really adventurous – an organic, cozy sweater!

Even apartment dwellers can do their part to help the environment. Unlike larger homes, few apartments have unlimited space for large recycling bins. Then there’s the problem of lugging them down to the curb!
This unique container is ideal for use in not only in apartments, but in dorms, marinas, campgrounds, and just about anywhere that space is limited. It is designed to be mounted on the inside of a cupboard door or closet and fits conveniently in small spaces.
The Apartment Recycling ‘Bag’ only requires one hand to carry it, leaving the other hand free to hold a railing or a child’s hand. The user friendly design and the size make this container convenient for carrying by seniors and children.
